When will I receive my letter?
SHIPMENTS: Letters start mailing in batches mid-month. If you have signed up after the 15th, letters will be mailed 3-7 business days after subscribing. Please give the postal service 2-3 weeks for delivery within the U.S. If you live outside the U.S., delivery may take a little longer. *Please advise that if you subscribe after the 20th then there is a chance you may not receive your letter until after the 1st of the next month due to the nature of “snail mail”. This usually isn’t the case, but it can happen.
CHARGES: Everyone will be charged on the 5th of the month. If you subscribe anytime after the 5th of the month, your next charge date will be the 5th of that following month to ensure you do not miss a month. For example, if you subscribed on July 3rd, your first charge will be on July 3rd, and your next charge will be on August 5th. If you subscribe on July 27th, your first charge will be on that day, and your next charge date will still be August 5th. This is in an effort to ensure everyone receives their letters earlier in the month and that no one misses out on a letter.
What if I didn’t receive my letter?
Please wait 2-3 weeks for the postal service to deliver your letter from the date of your shipment. If you have still not received it, please contact me, and I will be happy to send out another free of charge! For countries outside of the U.S., please allow the postal service 4-6 weeks for delivery. If you are in Australia, shipping times are longer, so please allow up to 8 weeks for delivery. Please be advised that if you purchase multiple letters in one order, there is a chance they may not all arrive on the same day. I do ship them together, but sometimes they get separated during transit. *It is your responsibility to make sure that your shipping address is correct at the time of ordering. If your shipping address is entered incorrectly, I cannot give a refund.
In order to receive a replacement, we must be contacted within 30 days of the shipping date.
How do I purchase a subscription as a gift for someone else?
You can purchase any subscription labeled "gift" if you do not wish for it to renew automatically. During checkout, simply enter the recipient's shipping information. The child's name can be entered in the Shipping Name section to ensure the envelope is addressed to them.
What about emails related to the subscription?
- You can simply use their email address when ordering. However, be advised that this means they will also receive any and all subscription update emails including receipts and shipment details.
- You can use your own email address during checkout to receive an order confirmation receipt. After ordering, you can email us at info@writingsfromthewild.com to have the email updated to the recipient's email address so they can receive shipment details.
- ACTIVITY SHEETS: These will be emailed to the subscription's email address on file.
How do I update my address?
You can change your shipping address directly in your account. You will be sent a code either through text message or the email address on file. Please note that this will not take effect until the next shipping cycle (the next month).
If you need to update your mailing address for the current mailing period, even if you have updated it in your account, please send us an email.
Once we receive an email notifying us of the address change, we can update it in our system.
If you have not yet received a shipping notification at the time you have emailed us, please be advised that when you do, that email may not reflect the updated address until the following month's shipping notification email.
How are the letters shipped?
Letters are mailed via USPS First Class mail using only a postage stamp. Due to that nature, tracking numbers are not available. If you order more than 12 letters at a time, please be advised that one or more of your envelopes will have multiple letters inside. This helps lower your shipping costs.
How do I access the activity sheet downloads?
When you place an order, you will receive a confirmation email that will include a password to access the past activity sheet downloads. From there, you can download the past activity sheets and print as many as you need for your family. This code is NOT the same password used to access your account. You can locate this section under the drop-down menu labeled Past Letters and then click on Past Activity Sheets. These are also sent to the email address on file each month for your convenience.
What age group do the letters and activity sheets relate to?
The letters are for kids of all ages! I prefer to leave it up to the parents to decide, since children are all unique. The activity sheets are not guaranteed to fit your child’s level every month. Some examples include coloring pages, crack the codes, mazes, word searches, and animal reports. If you prefer to go by an age range, I will say ages 5-11, although I do have kids younger and older who enjoy them.
I live internationally; can I sign up?
Of course! If you live internationally, the shipping is the cost of a postage stamp.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel a subscription at any time in your Customer Account. If you did not create an account or have trouble accessing it, please contact me, and I would be happy to help you.
Help! I can't log into my account, and the email link isn't being sent.
This would occur if you checked out as a guest instead of creating an account. Kindly send me an email at info@writingsfromthewild.com, and I can help you!
Can I receive a refund?
If your letter arrives damaged, please email info@writingsfromthewild.com with a photo of the damage, and we can refund or replace the item at our discretion.
Due to the nature of the items, we do not provide refunds after your letter has arrived if you decide it is just not a good fit for your family. If you are unsure if these letters will be a good fit for your child, you can subscribe to a basic monthly subscription for only $7 USD, or a premium monthly sub for $10 USD, to try it out. You can cancel at any time! **You are responsible for making sure to cancel any subscription you need before it renews. Once it renews, we cannot cancel the order or provide a refund.
Please note that we send an email reminder of the upcoming charge for those with 6-month and yearly renewals.
In order to receive any replacements or refunds for missing or damaged letters, you must contact us by email within 30 days of the shipping date. Refunds are not available for orders placed with the incorrect address.
